Michael V. (Mike) Bailey is a lifelong Fremont County resident, businessman, husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated public servant who has spent decades investing in the community he proudly calls home.
A Lifetime Rooted in Riverton
Mike joined the family business at just twelve years old as a full-service station attendant and has worked full-time since 1976. Over the years, he learned every aspect of the operation, earning the respect of employees and customers alike before becoming President and CEO of Bailey Enterprises in 2002.

Mike remains a hands-on leader who believes no job is beneath him. Whether delivering fuel, serving customers, or pouring coffee at the café, he proudly works alongside his employees.
Education and Professional Experience
Mike graduated from Riverton High School in 1978 and earned an Associate Degree in Business Management from Central Wyoming College in 1980.
He holds a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with hazardous materials, tanker, air brake, and dual/triple endorsements, reflecting his commitment to understanding every level of the businesses he leads.
He is also a founding member and board member of Kairos Communications LLC and Genuine Meats LLC.

City Experience
Mike’s experience in local government spans more than two decades. He served for 12 years on the Riverton Planning Commission, including as Vice Chairman, before being elected to the Riverton City Council in 2014. Since taking office in January 2015, he has worked to provide thoughtful and effective leadership and has served as City Council President since 2017.
Mike has also worked as a liaison and served on several city committees and boards, including:

- Chamber of Commerce
- FORCC Committee (Fix Our Roads)
